Little 61/4" x 4" ancient looking glass beaker reminds me of the
form of some early beakers roman type vessels i think had a small
foot similar to this ones? The texture has been acid treated on the outside
as it is quite rough and looks almost like stone on the foot.. Hoping to find
out if this maybe an Italian representation of ancient glass that has been dug
from the ground with Scavo technique on the outside any ideas? welcome..
The glass has a nice ring to it and a decent thickness and weight also...
I have seen another similar online described as Murano and some other
pieces by Seguso have a similar shade but not really been able to find a firm
signed or labelled piece to compare it with hopefully a glass expert may know
of the piece in question or maybe able to point me in a better direction?
Thank you very much and happy new year everybody

Just enjoying a baileys and my new Decanter book from Andy Mcconnell
