Nouveau-ish oil burner
« on: January 04, 2020, 04:13:22 PM »
Hi all,
I picked up this striking oil burner this morning, but an extensive search leaves me no closer to identifying it.
It is in green frosted glass and what looks like a painted on brass effect.
It's all one piece, the globe doesn't come off.
There is a holder for a cotton wick in the top of the globe.
The glass has a sort of swirl effect - you can just see the odd patch with a blue-y or yellow-y tinge.
Any ideas anyone? Anything that could narrow down my search?

thanks in advance!

N

Nice shape piece :) Does it seem to have any
age on any of the part's? is there any metal that
can sometimes dull with age..I thought  Murano at
first glance but the pictures are quite distant can you
bring in the item a bit to show the texture etc sometimes
quite helpful with a picture of the base also. Would love
to know how it was made myself :) Looks quite feminine ??

Polish and quite recent, try searching for Krosno oil lamp or Josefina oil lamp.
