Barware set - handpainted, VB logo - Who made it?
« on: January 19, 2020, 10:51:43 PM »
Hello--

I've spent several hours trying to find out what company may have made this vintage barware set and have come up emptyhanded.  Each piece is marked on the bottom with a "VB" logo (with the V over the B, separated by a line) and the words "HANDGEMALT - HAND PAINTED - DECOR MAIN."

I would be most appreciative of any information you can offer--thank you!

Welcome to the message board.

Might be Villeroy & Boch, but a company from a German speaking country must be favourite.

Nice lemonade set!

Scratch German speaking country, just noticed it has hand painted in German, English and French. However that is extremely close to the V&B logo used on their pottery in the 1960s.

Hello
Vileroy and Boch , never ever I thought when I read it, but I´m wrong.
In the 60th 70th vileroy and Boch was making quite a lot colored stuff what I never expected.

John is possibly right when you look at this.

Maybe the upper part of your logo got lost

Thank you both so much!  I considered Villeroy & Boch, but it didn't seem like the right style.  The logo does look very similar to the set Monika posted.  Thanks again!
