Identification help please
« on: January 20, 2020, 09:31:01 AM »
Hello, I am asking for anyone to help identify the attached piece of glass. I have been told it looks like murano designed by Flavio Poli but nothing to confirm this. The vase is not signed nor labelled. It is 27cm tall and weighs 1.056kg. Any information would be gratefully received. Thanks. Michael

Can't quite tell from the angle of the picture, is it fairly matt or is it polished?  It can help to take base shots at about 45 degrees against the light source, to bring out details like wear and finish.

Yes to Murano but pay no attention to the Flavio Poli attribution, the name is used on ebay and elsewhere by many in a scatter gun manner, either through lack of knowledge or deceit. Very few of the items with that name will have any connection to him.
