Ruby ovoid vase W/F ??
« on: January 23, 2020, 04:49:09 PM »
Any ideas about the maker of this ruby vase which I thought was whitefriars glass but did not find it in my books.
Concave polished pontil mark and to my eyes W/F ruby colour, 5 inches tall and 4.750 inch dia and 935g.
Many thanks

I can't see the No. in either of the books - any clues as to where you've seen it, please. :)      Mid 1960s possibly.

Hi Paul, saw it on 20th centuryglass site. You now have me thinking to double check that catalog number again.

I’m not convinced it’s the 9585 as I have not found an image of the pattern number ?

Looks spot on, one of the optic vases, page 11 1964 catalogue: https://whitefriars-glass.com/whitefriars-cat-1964.php

Some of the other shapes.

John
