Ice like textured whisky glasses unknown makers??
« on: January 25, 2020, 11:40:38 AM »
Don't think these are Ravenhead but i thought they were from the pictures when i
purchased them from an online shop when they arrived i thought they looked a
bit different the textured finnish was more defined than i expected it to be so i
guess they maybe are Ravenhead. Any ideas folks? 3" x 3"

If they are Ravenhead, the pattern is called Siesta. Mine all went back to a charity shop, so I don't have one to hand to compare, but it might be something else.
The pattern looks a bit sharper than I remember.
But so do the pics of Siesta fruit bowls I found.  ???
Maybe you'll have better luck searching than I do - I can't work things like pinterest.
You're definitely looking for Siesta. Used to trip over it in charity shops, but not so much now.

I do think the pattern is sort of sharper and more squared off than Siesta is. :)
How good is the colour, Dan?

Yeas sorry it's a bit of a awkward one i just wanted
a set of inexpensive glasses for soft drinks and purchased
them thinking of course as you would Ravenhead or similar??
But all the pieces i have checked are a lot more subtle? Talking
texture wise these are defined your right, Color very clear no
hints of grey to my eye's i'm stumped i think they are very
similar to Ultima thule if looked at from say a cross section
or horizontally ?? But then the bases are wrong maybe a UK
company who was a bit of a pretender ie copying Iittala  ???
Dan

Wrong rim for Iittala. Siesta would be a little bit yellow.

And I did a booboo again.  :-[ Siesta, not Fiesta. I had a Chancey brain interference. :-[ :-[ :-[

I'm currently using Ravenhead beer glasses for everyday, but I like Ravenhead Apollos too.
I have a fairly massive collection of both, picked up from charity shops.
