It's a slightly special sort of heart shape there, with the crown in the middle, very like the Irish Claddagh Ring symbol.

The crown on top symbolisies the sacredness of the love and enduring friendship it represents.

"The secret of our being, is not only to live, but to have something to live for." (Dostoyevsky)

(I've just got that from the back of a Claddagh plaque I was given.  :) )

Ah! So the Irish "Claddagh" translates to Scottish "Luckenbooth"?

Luckenbooth?
That's the name of every second tacky tartan shortbread souvenir shop! The sort of places you can buy tartan tammies with ginger fluff attached. :-X

I did go and look it up Kev.  :) Now I do know it's something else, and very like the Claddagh.

You say that like it's a bad thing LOL I must confess that when I was in Scotland, I did buy a couple of such tams, but in my defense, it was for my young nephews :-)

It was just a bit of traditional (Scottish) self-depreciation Carolyn.
I do think they're really funny. ;D
