Caithnes ring for show.
« on: August 18, 2020, 12:11:09 PM »
Marked CG, the hallmarks are tiny, the date is 1973, I think, with what looks like a 'Thistle' mark for Edinburgh, not mine, my better half's collection  ;D ;D

;D I can just about tolerate the luminous pink because it is beside the correct shade of deep green to make it acceptable.
The tiny canes and indeed the whole cabachon, is very different to most you'll find. It's very daisy like, and fits with the period - flower-power sort of thing.
And it's another wonderful '70s Edinburgh silver setting too.
Possibly the best and most unusual ring you've found for Linda yet!  ;D ;D ;D
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Ooh I wear a lot of rings and I love that!
It's incredibly hard to find a good clear cool shade of pink in a ring so that's a rare find on that front.

It is a pink that can be found in old costume jewellery- it's used in the fake opals, so it's not plain, but it is that shade - with extra rainbow sparkly bits.  :)

They go very well indeed with the ring, while providing contrast too.
Is Linda going to run out of fingers and ears anytime soon?  ;D
