Murano bud vase? Please help me to ID this vase.
« on: September 11, 2020, 12:19:59 PM »
This small vase is unique in its colour, also the faceted sides and the trails. It weights 1014g, but only stands at about 5" tall. I put is as Murano glass, but not sure if it is. Not sure who could be the maker of this vase. Thanks Peter

My guess is it could be a perfume bottle minus its "dibber" for want of a better word ;).  I've got a couple of perfume bottles with the same type of top and with elongated dibbers,  although not as tall as yours.  Sorry can't help with the attribution though.

I seem to remember seeing a lot of these around a few years ago with cut lenses on them.
I thought they might have been labelled Cello Glass.  There might be some threads on here on Cello glass.

I found this item  as an example although not the same:

well done, m.
I know I've seen these in gift shops, and they're fairly recent, despite the wear on the base this one has gained.  I can't be positive, but I don't think they're Chinese.
But given the polishing on the sides, maybe they did polish the bases of the perfume bottles?

I don't know.  ;D
I'm not willing to say Poland; you could well be right about India.

This is a Chinese perfume bottle missing the stopper. Marketed in the USA under the Fifth Avenue label

Hi There,

Could you provide a link to the Chinese perfume bottle in US?

Do you suggest now people are making 1Kg perfume bottles for men?

It is quite heavy.

Kind regards,
Peter

Thanks for that. I also find one:

https://www.timestincupstudio.com/listing/702235361/fifth-avenue-crystal-perfume-bottle

A few differences here: The cuts are well too bigger and deeper than mine. The trails has no colour on mine, but they are all coloured on the perfume bottles you suggested.

So I think we are comparing apples with oranges.

Thanks for the efforts.
