John Walsh Pompeian Posy Vase.
« on: September 17, 2020, 12:43:39 PM »
I didn't think this was very interesting until I researched it. It's a "thistle" posy vase, part of the Pompeian range by John Walsh introduced in 1929? and made through the 1930's. Big bonus is the just about legible, etched "Walsh England" mark on the pontil, and a good glow too  ;D ;D.

Very nice, the mark is usually on the edge and worn away  ;D ;D

Thanks Keith, I was lucky enough to catch it in the right light to see the mark.

Mine was £2 from the "junk shop" in a local antiques arcade and I didn't think it would be a known design. I've bought quite a few bits of uranium glass there  ;D.
