Could this be a Alfredo Barbini?

I believe these are Chinese (or even Japanese), not Murano

Did pieces like this come out of those countries 50 years ago?

I think the label says "Ellesby Japan", I can't help further than that. The Chinese were certainly exporting glass in the 1960's/70's and there is a thread somewhere on GMB about it now being sold as by Stevens and Williams.

The Chinese and Japanese have been making and exporting glass for a long while.

The millefiori and bubble paperweight type base looks quite like those on these Lenwile Ardalt Japan vases https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-1950s-Ardalt-Lenwile-Glass-Millefore-Paperweight-Red-Flute-Bud-Vase/362686024585?hash=item5471c58b89:g:YfsAAOSw0R5c3sTL

There only looks to be one other post on the GMB that mentions Ellesby and that is a label for Ellesby ware on vases that “look Japanese”. There isn’t much info except to suggest it could be a retailer...maybe for Lenwile?: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,49304.msg278043.html

Edited to add - welcome to the forum  :D nice clear photos, thanks.
