Topic: ID / Info Help On Handpainted Glass Vase Marked 1/163 on base

Hello, looking for help IDing this vase or any information on era would be great too. It's 19cm tall and is marked 1/163 on base. Thank you

  I suspect it might well glow in the dark.
Have you tested it with a UV torch yet?

That's interesting Sue - hadn't thought it might glow. Unfortunately I don't own a UV light  I should invest!

I'm about 100% sure it will glow. 
A UV torch is a really useful thing, and they can be found very cheaply on certain auction sites.

I meant to ask that Sue, as I've mentioned before Roobarb, it's often best to shine the torch inside the vase to get the best effect.

Can you provide a link to the debate?

And Roobarb, can you get a close up photo of the base markings?

Sorry KevinH the debate was on one of my postings on Collectors Weekly and it doesn't seem to have a URL. I have lots of posts under uranium glass on there so it should be possible to find it on my profile. You are welcome to link it if you are able to.
