Murano glass label Venini? Salviati?
« on: February 14, 2021, 12:11:14 PM »
I have a neodymium kneeling geisha figurine carrying this label which appears to contain a series of letters SVM. I have seen very similar figurines confidently attributed in salerooms and online to either Venini or Salviati. This would fit say a combination of the letters making up 'Vetreria Salviati Murano' or 'Salviati Venice Murano' but I cannot find this label identified anywhere. I know Salviati had many labels that were silver foil like this. I do not know anything on the Venini side though... If anyone can throw any light on this I would be grateful!
