Odd Art Glass in Metal Holder

Picked this up from the thrifts. It looks interesting and has gold or silver leaves embedded in the glass. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!  ;D :D ;) :)

Hello and welcome.  :)
What is it? I can't make it out.
Is it black? Is it clear? Is it a plate or a stand-up piece?
It appears to be decorated with dichroic glass - the sparkly multicoloured bits, and that is fairly recent, so I think I'm safe in saying it is not any antique.

If you search Cressida Glassware you will see quite a few similar. Don’t know anything about Cressida but quite possibly Chinese?
