Identify blue swirl/spatter candlesticks
« on: March 08, 2021, 11:02:23 AM »
Hi guys, I've got an unusual pair of blue & white swirl, or spatter, hand blown candlesticks - see photo. I'm struggling to identify them so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fergus

I wonder if they were made at Sunderland Glass in the 1980s. See this http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=900 Do the have a pontil mark?

Hi, thanks - they do have a sharp bit on the concave base which I believe is the pontil mark. The width of the top of them is slightly different so do appear to be handblown. Thanks for sharing the Sunderland vase, it does appear to be quite similar - great suggestion
