Hello, I wondered if anyone might know what this piece is? It's 24cm long and I wondered if it might be a vase, but missing its stand or if it was a light shade. Many thanks.

I'd guess that it has a holder of some sort to stand in - perhaps it's a car vase or wall pocket vase (example here http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,61933.0.html)?
