Topic: Matthew Turnbull Trinket Sets

So, I wasn't looking specifically for trinket sets, and have no ideas of patterns, but came across a newspaper article from 10th April 1953, in the Sunderland Echo.  It related to an attempted break-in at the Matthew Turnbull works in Sunderland.

One of the perpetrators, Dennis Conlin (21), is quoted as saying "My mate works there and knows the place.  He was after trinket sets. I was drunk". 

So, whilst it doesn't help identifying unknowns, it at least indicates another manufacturer.

.... but there is a 1951 Matthew Turnbull catalogue viewable through Tyne & Wear Museums archives, for anyone who hasn't seen it. I've solved quite a few glass mysteries using the images and information therein
