large lampwork paperweight sculpture?
« on: June 16, 2021, 01:39:23 PM »
Here I am again with a recent find! yes our brocantes are finally open but this one actually came from a charity shop.

Its is big beast: 18cm high and 17cm wide so way bigger than your average paperweight.

Its perfectly finished - the lampwork clearly showes a good master - clearly no mass production.

But: big but: what is it? beautiful well polished base

I ve gone down the route of Scandinavian or even Belgian (Louis Leloup) but these tend to be signed (especially in this size)

So Im back at "Murano" but I find very little that lives up to this quality.

Judging by the wear I dont think there s great age to this - maybe 1980s or more recent.

Anyone any thoughts?
