Egermann Oil Lights
« on: June 30, 2021, 11:33:20 AM »
Not my usual thing but these have been in a local charity shop for ages so I bought them. I thought they were paperweights/bud vases but having translated the label I see they are candles/oil lights. The identical labels, I think, say "Crystal candles, sodium/potassium glass 0% PbO (lead oxide)- Lead". Looking through the packaging I found the wicks and brass washers, unused. I would guess these are 1970's.

Thankyou Michael, I was thinking they were a bit older but could not find much information about them. They were only £4 each anyway.

I had something very similar design to that - they sat in holders in a cast iron chandelier. I could never get them to work!
The chandelier was bought in 98.
