Got this in the charity shop. Another example of mechanical frosting, not acid etched or sand blasted. The frosting has a relatively uniform texture without particularly obvious striations or grain direction, but you can see it was mechanically frosted by looking where the body joins the clear foot. The deeper hollow areas have been missed where the abrasive tool bridged these areas due to the surrounding high points.
It is clear glass, has a snapped pontil scar and lots of wear and tool marks on the foot. The rim looks fire polished so was thinking British, possibly earlier victorian. 170mm tall.
