One of the less common colours for 'Pompeian', apparently, of which Eric Reynolds ('The Glass of John Walsh Walsh 1850 - 1951') says ................ "Blue, green and amber were the most popular colours, with some selected items in amethyst and a very limited production in pink" - the clear casing can be seen down the sides. Reynolds book is indispensable, but he's rather mean with some information and apart from saying this stuff was produced from c. 1930, I'm unsure as to when production of 'Pompeian' ceased - looking at the wear on this one it's possible it might date to pre WW II but that's a guess only.
A heavy lump with height c. 7 inches (about 175 mm) - and from this morning's boot sale. Of course, if anyone thinks this isn't 'Pompeian' do shout - there have been a lot of other 'bubbly' pieces made over the years
Have looked carefully for a back stamp but nothing that I can see.
