Topic: pub, firing or whisky glass

built like the proverbial brick outhouse, which might suggest it's a firing glass, albeit very plain looking - though possibly more likely to be a pub glass for whisky perhaps.     The bird bath bottom is quite substantial with a depth of c. 7/8" (about 20 mm) and there are masses of striation marks from the tooling - mostly around the waist - with much wear on the top rim too.   
Height is about 2.7/5 inches (c. 70 mm).                  Do people think that the barrel shape might suggest some age?       All suggestions gratefully received and thanks for looking.

Ummm,interesting.Nothing comes straight to mind ? Has it got a green tinge and has the base (foot) show any signs of being cut .

  -  thanks, but it's no on both counts  -  as matter of interest, what does a green tinge signify - were you thinking perhaps of manganese as a decolourant.

Just getting an idea of the colour , no deep reasoning .On the cut side I just thought it may have been double ended at some point ?

that's true  -  there were at some time in the past pieces that were made such that they allowed for a double ended use.     I think this one is too small for such a use, but who knows.
