Just checking- I see three words here, do you as well when you look at the piece or am I seeing something that isn’t truly there?

Would you please share the form of the piece? That might help with dating or perhaps an artist’s style too.

It is words as it is the signature of whoever made it.

What a lovely piece! Let me do a bit of research and see if I can uncover anything which might help. I’m a new member here so perhaps a more seasoned member who is knowledgeable in Art Glass will also offer their insights.

It is words as it is the signature of whoever made it.

Thanks for the clarification- I wasn’t sure if it might be a sir name which had a prefix to it. That’s why I wondered about seeing three distinct areas of writing.

The talc is a little erratic  This method works well with flat or nearly flat surfaces.
1.  Take the item outdoors.
2.  Face away from the sun(to lessen reflections)
3.  Take the photo from a fairly low angle - this will make the base appear lighter(as it reflects the sky) and the siganture will be darker because it does not reflect.  Here is an example which shows what I mean.  Remember sharp focus is all as out of focus can't be readily fixed , if at all.

Was coming to suggest cream of tartar or baking soda. Glad to see someone beat me to it!

I would start by researching Murano artists.
