Antique shop find, Murano?? ID Please.
« on: October 21, 2021, 02:46:25 PM »
The first in the photo is a stunning (in my opinion) Green and bright Orange vase, this is layered glass the edge shows a White third layer.
On the base is a ground pontil.
The vase stands 6 inches tall and is fairly heavy for it's size.

Hi.
Below is one of three vase I recently found in a small Antique shop.
It is layered glass comprising a Green and Orange and the rim shows there is also a White layer.
It stands 6 inches tall and is fairly heavy, on the base is a ground pontil mark.
Thanks for looking.
Joe.

Hi Joe,

These type of colours would make me consider Azerbaijan glassware in the first instance.

Hope this helps,
Greg

Could we see a photo of the base please? Bases are hugely helpful in determining how a thing is made and sometimes by whom, so we always ask for one to be included with your images. Thanks!
