Peter Mc dougall weight
« on: December 04, 2021, 09:24:43 PM »
Not my usual field of glass collecting. I picked this weight up this afternoon as it looked well put together.
I tried to look for weights that had a concentric ring centre to try and date it, with no luck.
Any ideas as to the year of manufacture?
Thank you,
Tim

Forgot to give the dimensions, 50mm diameter and 35 mm high.

Peter opened his studio in Crieff in 2002 and closed in 2011 so your weight was obviously made during this period but trying to be more precise than this is probably not possible.
Hope this helps

Your weight shows up as design "G30" in 2008 for the first time on the PapweightsPlus (site no longer available) catalogue.

Thanks  to Dave and Wuff for the background information on my weight.
For a person not collecting paperweights i seem to have acquired about 30 by now!!
