Glass identification help needed :)
« on: December 07, 2021, 01:57:17 PM »

Hi Everyone,

I recently found some glass items at a local market in Amsterdam. The seller said he cleared a beautiful home and I fell in love the colours and shapes of these pieces and decided to buy them. I have no idea about origin, when googling I did find clutha glass but no idea if this is clutha.
Most of these are very lightweight.
The tallest pieces are about 15cm with the small ones just 5cm.

Any help much appreciated :)

Thank you

Hi,

Welcome to the Glass Message Board.

I'm afraid I can't help you with an attribution, however, lightweight glass of this nature more often than not comes under the category/term of 'Lampwork' glass.

Here is link which provides a brief description of this technique/process: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lampworking

Searching under this term may provide you with a few more results.

Hope this helps a little.
