Moser cameo glass bowl
« on: December 08, 2021, 04:50:35 PM »
Hi All

First a Happy Holiday to all glass lovers.

I have been asked to identify the shallow glass bowl which you can see in the photographs.

What I think I know ( you experts may know differently) - It is Czechoslovakian Moser glass, generally refered to as cameo glass. It is 13 inches across and 3 inches high, so not very big. The painted scene is of a post carriage with horses and the painting has a signature J.M.Pohl.

It is not to my taste but I can imagine they are sought after.

A date would be useful and any other information about this type of glass. Some idea of the price to buy would also be useful.

Sorry so many questions.

a very quick google shows this:

I don't think it is 'generally referred to as cameo glass'.
It's enamelled I think - difficult to tell as your photos are way too small to see detail unfortunately :)
