Topic: 2 Late Georgian Lidded Jars

2 late Georgian lidded jars possibly into very early Victorian. The smaller more grey one was bought about 5 years ago in Dorking, the larger one was bought last week on the other side of the road also in Dorking..

The smaller one weighs 541gm , height 5.5" , diameter 4".
The larger one weighs 692gm , height 6.5" , diameter 5".

I knew the larger one was very similar in shape and had to buy it. Both in perfect condition.

did I really Roy  -  if you say so.            I say a lot of things, these days most of which I seem to forget.            Sounds like it was a good idea, though not sure we'd be able to persuade the Mods., and my collecting of cut stuff now has lessened considerably  -  I have too many hobbies.             
I do occasionally frequent that road in Dorking  -  often I'm the oldest thing in the shop  -  real antiques are getting less frequent, unfortunately.             These look good - give you a fiver, or six quid tops                             .......................                   for the pair, of course. .             You're obviously finding some good stuff these days - must start to follow you around.     best wishes.

P.S.    how comes you recall things from seven years back - am sure I couldn't.               but, your comment  -  "in perfect condition" - worries me  -  something from 1825 - 1840 must surely have the tinnciest - tinciest - tinsiest          ...        small, bit of damage.             What do you call something from William IV reign -   unlikely?
