Topic: Lemon Squeezer Hermanova

This is a Hermanova 19141 lemon/lime squeezer as shown in the Pre 1958 catalogue from Marcus Newhall's CD. It is quite dinky at just 13.5cm. x 7.5cm.

I really like it.
It has a dinky little blob in the spout to catch the pips and it's nice and deep to catch all of the juice.
What diameter is the middle "mound" section? That would help distinguish if it were for smaller or bigger fruit. I have found one that could only have been for limes - the mound was too small to be of any use for a lemon. But I gave it to somebody who eats limes.

Sue, the bottom of the mound is about 4.5cm. and the dish has just about enough room for a lemon, so perhaps it is for limes. I'm wondering if lemons in the 30's were smaller, todays ones certainly seem larger than they used to be.

I can remember lemons being quite big in the '60s. But I was a lot smaller then.
If the mound isn't wide enough, it is a real pain to try to get a half lemon fully squeezed, and if it were a tightish fit in the bowl, you'd knacker your knuckles.
I would strongly suspect you have a lime squeezer.
I want a slightly bigger one, the same as this for my lemons.
