Early Sam Herman Studio Glass
« on: April 26, 2022, 01:31:57 PM »
I have had this in my collection for a while now. It came from the estate of someone who collectedearly British studio art glass in the 1960s and 1970s. It has some similarity to early Sam Herman pieces in form, colour and especially the lip on the neck.
Would value opinions. There is an unground pontil mark but no signature.

It's not really saying Sam Herman to me. He really did sign just about everything he made, but it is not unknown for pieces of glass to vanish after having been left overnight in annealling ovens.
