Topic: Posy trough or match holder?

Blue pressed glass in the form of a piano. Posy trough or match holder?

Overall size is 6.5cm tall, 8cm long, 5.5cm deep. Trough / receptacle is 3.7cm deep.

Rough mould lines visible.

If anyone can identify purpose / maker / origin / age I would be much obliged, I have been unsuccessful  so far.

It might have been intended to hold business cards, if it is Victorian in date then the cards would have been more personal than business oriented.

I hadn't though of it being a visiting or business card holder, thank you for the suggestion. Maybe it could also be a playing card holder?

I would think a match holder, the pattern on the sides being the striker. The Americans made a lot of this type of novelty glass.
