Uranium Opaline Lampshade
« on: August 22, 2022, 09:46:23 AM »
I found this at yesterdays boot sale. The shade is uranium opaline with hand painted roses and the remains of other decoration which looks like leaves etc., there is pinky orange line around the neck which may well have been gilded. I assume it's Bohemian but it might be German and the roses remind me of something I've seen but I can't think what. The brass converted oil lamp is marked on the wick adjuster "The Wizard Made in Germany". It's lit with a UV bulb.
"I hear you're a racist now father!" Father Ted.
