Drinking glass to identify.
« on: September 06, 2022, 09:10:21 PM »
Hello All,

I got some drinking glasses (8cm tall) and it has a rooster engraved? eched? to the side.

Any clue who is the maker?

Cheers, Peter

Stuart green doesn't glow and is much more yellow green. I have one with a ring of needle-etched roosters but no rings in the glass. I've never found an ID http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=1718

I've got some similar ones which I posted on Collectors' Weekly, identified as Imperial #451.

Christine, from its appearance yours could be Imperial too, perhaps someone on Collectors' Weekly can help.

Many thanks all for getting this solved!

The signature rooster could be related to Imperial Glass, maybe a different pattern number.

Good luck!

Do these have a polished pontil mark at all?  Just curious.

Wondered if Leerdam might be possible for yours Christine based on the colour really, however not sure whether they did designs with cockerels?
