Two little mysteries
« on: October 03, 2022, 03:42:20 PM »
Hello
I have two pieces of glass, both quite old, which I have had no luck finding any information about.
One is black, etched, about the size of a long narrow shot glass (9cm or so) with the handle set very low and quite a sharp, raw lip.
The other is an orange cornucopia in frosted glass with a frilled rim and a clear base, 25cm in height. I've seen similar designs from Murano, but nothing frosted.
Can you suggest where I might look?
Many thanks
kate

Welcome to the Glass Message Board Kate.

It is very difficult to offer any help without photos of the items.

Ergh, so sorry about that. I thought I had uploaded successfully, and will now try again.

If you search online "vintage cordial glass with handle" there are quite a few similar, although none seem to be attributed to a maker. Most, like yours, appear to be cut glass rather than etched.
