Decanter Bottle ID Help
« on: March 31, 2023, 12:33:07 AM »
Hi !
I need some help with this decanter type bottle. It reminds me of something I have seen before...
It is hand blown, thin walled with ribbed shoulders and applied decoration to the sides.
The stopper solid in spiral shape.
The base has polished pontil. 26 cm tall.
Found in Sweden. I would say it is either Scandinavian or Venetian made.
Let me know what you think!
It is really nice bottle
Thank you in advance!

It's shown here as G532 in the Orrerfors catalogue.

Another one by Simon Gate is shown here:

Thank you NevB!

Found it!
Now I know what it reminded me of- many of later Orrefors decanters are in very similar shape but done in other types of glass and using different techniques.

All the best!
