My mother always had this and her mother. We used on special occaisions. I would love to know what it is. I think it's beatiful. The etchings are of grape vines.

It's the mark for Thomas G. Hawkes, a Fleur de Lis with two facing hawks shown here, scroll down the page. I'd guess the date could be as early as 1880 but may be later.
