Need some help with an ID on colored glasses
« on: September 11, 2023, 07:42:50 PM »
I have some glass that I cannot find a makers Mark on and have not a clue if they are identifiable.  Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank
Marc

Hi Marc, is each glass a different colour but all with the same decoration / shape / pattern?  If you could please do a photo showing them side on so we can see the shape and the colours clearly, ideally against a plain white background please (a sheet of card or smooth fabric would do) so we can see all the detail clearly it would help. Thanks!

Ok here are some new pics.  Hopefully they will do.  Because of the limit of the file I cannot just post the pic. I have to get it down to the 500mb limit.  Hope this helps, and thanks for the reply.

The closest thing I can find that looks like are Morano glass, and I would assume that Morano would have a Makers Mark on them.

Thank you and Best Regards
Marc.

Marc thanks for adding the images, they do need to be bigger though so we can see all the detail we need to see. You have 125kb per image, and up to 4 per post (i.e. 500kb in total per post). I have a help and how to post about resizing images to fit the limits of the board, it's worth a read - you can find it here http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34093.0.html.

If you get stuck and can't get them resized to fit under 125kb, with ideally the longest edge for each image being 700 pixels, then you can always send me the full size copies by email to support@glassmessages.com and I'll resize them and add to your post for you.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at these for me as well as assisting me with getting the pictures attached.  I will cross my fingers and hope this works and is what you need.

the designs are all the same.  Heart shape Vine with an upside-down Fleur-de-lis at the top of the heart center.  If anymore information is needed please let me know.

Thanks again for all your help here

They are pretty, I'd suspect probably made in Italy at somewhere like IVV (Industria Vetreria Valdarnese) but I don't know for sure.
