Genuine or Fake- identification Frank Thrower
« on: January 25, 2024, 06:38:33 PM »
Hi there

A friend has asked me to sell an Ugly Face [Frank Thrower] vase for them. I think it feels a bit light and wondered whether they had been remade or the moulds re-used. Anyone have any idea how much it should weigh or other ways of telling whether it is original or not.
It is also clear glass but does not seem to have any 'tinge'
Any help or guidance appreciated

Thank you

Looks OK to me. It should be colourless (there were three colours: clear, midnight and kingfisher). I think it's unlikely to be a reissue, as they didn't sell well and were produced for barely two years 1968-1970. Extremely rare according to Mark Hill
