Topic: Early Okra cut glass vase

I acquired this unusual Okra vase yesterday. It has a Gold Aurene iridescent surface finish over clear glass. It's signed on the base "Okra 1983 No.12". The vase stands about 15 cm high. What makes it unusual, for me at least from my limited knowledge, is that it has spiral cuts into the glass in the lower half of the vase. I can't find another like it, except for the listing for the item I bought on the auction site.

Has anyone seen this before? There must be a few around if mine is numbered 12. Perhaps it was an early Okra experiment.

We have a number of Okra pieces, never seen one with cutting, no other marks to the base ? I believe Richard Golding is easy to contact, he may help.

Yes, I will contact Richard in due course. However, he must be bombarded with queries, so I thought to ask here first. Richard came to give a presentation at IOW Glass Museum a couple of years ago. It was a delight to meet him for the first time. We have a few Okra pieces in the museum collection. This vase will be added too.
