Topic: Please help me ID this swung vase

I got this vase last week and I have spent too many hours online trying to figure out who made it.

19 3/4" tall
It appears to have a pontil on the bottom

With that unpolished, ground pontil it might be Chinese, I've had a look but can't find anything. An image search finds similar ones by L.E. Smith but the base doesn't seem right.

I looked very carefully and suspected Chinese myself. Not just from the "large and colourful and not in the most accurate of proportions", but also from the kind of base-non polished pontil scar, but also the removal and finishing of the bit of the base to make it sit flat.
I didn't say anything, I was waiting for somebody else to bite the bullet first.

It's huge, and that's another pointer towards Chinese (that's not to say everything huge is Chinese of course).

It is always a bit of a heartsink bit of news to deliver, not that there isn't some Chinese glass that isn't really nice.
This is a large, colourful, decorative piece, bought because it was liked, and there is nothing wrong with that at all.

Collecting glass is to about the "brand" for me. I just like to learn. Not sad that if is Chinese...My husband cannot be mad when I "can't" sell it. I resell full-time, and often use my job as the reason I "just spent $300 on more glass" that he thinks "we don't need more of" (I know, crazy talk) I like to think I am a foster mom for glass. I buy all the glass I want and get to display and enjoy while I find its forever home. I purchased a glass lot from an estate auction and it averaged out that I paid $6.00 a piece. I think it's beautiful even if its a no name brand. I will give her a forever home. Still woking thru the lot. There was so much glass, mostly Fenton, Murano and Blenko, in the estate I thought maybe I found something rare. Thanks for all the help.

I am glad you're not upset about the attribution. 
With any bit glass you have in your hands, it is the original you are holding and if you like it, that is all you really need. But the stories behind it all can be fascinating.

A very left field suggestion - Aseda  similar to this Decanter by them.

  That may have been the inspiration?
The Aseda has much neater pulls, is well-balanced and is partially cased. It is a far better-made piece.
