Uranium Opaline Trinket Pot
« on: April 08, 2024, 12:00:58 PM »
This is a 9cm. diameter trinket pot. I can't find one like it but I think it's French and probably dates to the second half of the 19th century. There are some pieces in Christine Vincendeau's book with the gilt decoration which are dated as early as 1840.

Apparently this is the only surviving piece from a set which was smashed to pieces.
