Hi Christine,
A valid point - did China/Japan produce for home market only or were they aiming at a worldwide sales and what would be the scale of production?  Have been trying to find a match for this shape and colour and am not finding anything.

Hi Sue,
re colour: in the flesh the colour is a glowing blue/red I also have a bent neck vase in the same type of colour which is quite stunning even though I'm not keen on the type of design (think it's an ugly shape) and have always assumed it was Chinese with a take on Ikea.  I'm not very good a taking photos and there is probably a way to adjust tone, but it's above my pay grade  :-\

;D It was the orangeness of the red in the photos that led me to the far east (as well as knowing a Japanese company made carnaby-alike and gulvase-alike works).
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Earth without art is just eh.

China and Japan sold/sell worldwide on varying scales and have done for many many years. And these days Ikea glass is often made in China, though designed in Sweden. Just because you can't find another doesn't mean it wasn't produced in quite large numbers. Maybe the algorithms aren't pulling it up or there are just no photos online

Hi Christine,
Thank you for taking the time to reply - yes, that must be the case, it's frustrating not to be able to pin it down, but I'll just have to leave it there.
Best wishes,
Marie.
