;D I suspect it might be a Japanese original. But I can't remember the name of the company that made the "carnaby-alike" stuff.  :-[

It's certainly not out of the question, and you know far more than I do, Ivo.  ;D

Hi Ivo/Sue,
Have just been checking China section - looked at Japan yesterday and can see the examples Sue was thinking of and only find a couple of photos close to this style, Ivo, also checked 20th Glass site which does have several Hooped Vases, but not finding this colour.

I can remember, many years ago, seeing on here a photo of a Chinese copy and the red was a vibrant Blue/Red which made me think this might be a Copy - am not finding the example I remember.  Any thoughts on the shades of red - all the Scandi and others seem to use a more yellow-based red and any examples of Japan/Chinese shades, are not showing the colour I remember?
Thank you both for your time,
Marie.

It is rather the very weak colour white on the inside which is typical for Dalian. I visited their stand on the Tendence in Frankfurt some years ago and they had 10s of 1000s of pieces - all a bit wishy washy. No strong whites.

Hi Ivo,
Yes, a very good point - I did notice that the Scandi cased white interiors are very robust in comparison.
Thank you for your help.
All the best,
Marie.

It's important to note that it's not a copy even if it is Chinese. This hooped vase style was made in lots of countries

I've noticed Chinese reds tend to be rather on the orange side. Like this hooped vase is.
