A car boot find today which, I was told, "belonged to my gran". Unusual pair of moulded glass faces or masks, presumably representing comedy and tragedy, with a Greek key hair band each. The tragedy mask has what I can only describe as frosted gouging under the eyes to suggest tears. Each one is roughly 24 x 18cm and both are very chunky pieces - each one weighs nearly 3kg. Unfortunately the photos don't really give a proper sense of the thickness of the glass.
I'm not quite sure how they would have been displayed (maybe mounted in something, but no signs of that on either) but both are covered in paint specks so they weren't simply stuck in a cupboard.
Anyone seen anything like this before?!
