Pair of Uranium Yellow Salts
« on: July 31, 2024, 01:22:43 PM »
These are similar to the Sowerby pattern 704 shown in the 1876 catalogue and here in the 1885 one except these have two rows of diamonds, not what appears to be three rows in the drawing. I think other makers did make similar ones so I'll keep looking. They are in perfect condition, just some lines inside from manufacture and a tiny bit of wear on the bases.

I have one of those from a salt job lot I picked up. It had a density of 2.57g/cc which is definitely pointing to a northeast maker.

Thanks Neil, mine come out at about 2.75-2.8 g/cc. I've just found the similar No.114 and others in this Davidson catalogue.
