Miller's 20th Century Glass by Andy McConnell
« on: September 21, 2006, 01:16:22 AM »
I recently viewed and have now aquired a copy of Andy's new book on 20th Century Glass, and I have a few questions. I know Andy is a member of the Message Board, and hope he has the time to reply.

Firstly let me say how much I have enjoyed the book, and congratulate you on a well researched volume.

I am interested to know how you arrived at your selection of Factories for the book, for instance why Kosta is excluded in favour of Orrefors, and Vicke Lindstrand's Kosta work only mentioned in passing?

I appreciate there are a lot of seemingly minor factories but Kosta was important and very successful from the 50s, and Lindstrand very prolific, hence a wealth of objects are available on the market for collectors. Indeed Lindstrand's work for Kosta is very popular with collectors.

This is of particular interest as my area of research is Vicke Lindstrand's work for Kosta, and how it has been perceived.

Thanks Andy.
