Topic: Incredibly Heavy Blue Globe Cased or Sommerso glass???

Found this big piece recently and wondered where it comes from? The piece is 14 cm tall and weighs
2.6 kg it has a nice sort of peacock blue color but base area is clear glass. The base has been polished
flat with lots of minute wear scratches and a central polished scar there are the remnants of two plastic
type of labels with small perforations around the out side and oblong shaped. The vase looks to be well
produced in my eyes any ideas??Thanks

Quite likely made in Poland, sometimes found with labels branded LSA or Krosno.

Thanks John, I did find a very similar vase by Henry Dean similar dimensions color but base was polished flat with a wide etched signature  the only thing that's niggling in my mind is similar companies used to have there pieces produced at the cheaper mass production glass blowing facilities as cheap as possible then retail them as their own often using various suppliers i have read somewhere. The vase above seems to have been made really well painstakingly polished base and very carefully polished pontil scar as well as good clear glass hard to explain with out holding it. Polish glass is generally very well made: companies in Krosno often made on commission for high-quality brands like LSA and Marks & Spencer rather than selling their own brands
