Topic: Repro Georgian Wine Glass

Hajdamach in his 1800-1914 book devotes a chapter to reproduction glass produced in the early 20thC. Plate 371 shows a Hill Ouston 1934 catalogue with four similar glasses one being 6 3/4" which matches this one. Hill Ouston were supplied by firms such as Walsh and Stevens and Williams but attribution to them would be very difficult. Colour plate 47 shows an amethyst glass with a very similar foot and stem attributed to L & S Hingley, Wordsley who I think could be a candidate. My glass appears to have been made in three pieces and isn't the best quality but it is lead crystal. It has a snapped pontil with the rough edges smoothed off and just a small amount of wear on the foot.

With the colour and the snapped pontil mark, I would perhaps go down the Walsh Walsh route

Thanks Christine, my first thoughts were Walsh Walsh, there are similar ones in the pattern books in Reynolds but the stems seem different.
