Large pedestal cup bowl.
« on: January 01, 2025, 05:11:09 PM »
Any thoughts on this well made piece of glass would be welcome.  Not mine unfortunately, but spotted when visiting friends recently.  Approx. 8 inches at its widest and heavy, with thick rounded rim which is green.  Thought to be very old.  I just wondered if this might be what I've seen described as a sweetmeat?
Many thanks.

Has a bit of a Mexican look about it.

Many thanks. I'll pass on that information.  Googling "Mexican glass green rim" certainly brought up lots of similar looking pieces, although not quite as big as this one.
