Shop jar/vase ?

Hi , this jar is 25cm in height and heavy . it has applied moulded handles and I’m guessing it was mould blown  with a lot of wear on the base ,any thoughts?,I’m thinking along the lines of late 19th century shop jar ?,maybe French ?There is no sign of wear on the rim and the handles encroach slightly so maybe it had a cork ?…,Ta
